Every moment of the royal family member’s lives get people’s attention effortlessly. Special occasions of their lives from birth to death are entered to the history as well. The Baptism or Christening is the main incident of the royal family member, after the birth.

Princess Ann (Princess Royal)

Princess Anne is christened in the Music Room of Buckingham Palace on 21 October 1950, by then Archbishop of York, Cyril Garbett. She is named as Anne  Elizabeth Alice Louis.

The Princess’s god parents were Queen Elizabeth the Queen mother, the Hereditary Princess of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, Princess Aliceof Greece and Denmark, the Earl Mountbatten of Burma and the Hon. And Rev. Andrew Elphinstone.

Prince Andrew is christened in the Music Room of Buckingham Palace on 08 April 1960, by then Archbishop of Canterbury, Geoffrey Fisher. He is named as Andrew Albert Christian Edward. 


The Prince’s godparents were the Duke of Gloucester, Princess Alexandra of Kent, the Earl of Euston, the Lord Elphinstone and Mrs. Harold Philips.

David Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley

Viscount Linley, son of Princess Margaret and the Earl of Snowdon is christened in the Music Room of Buckingham Palace on 19 December 1961, by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Michael Ramsey. He is named as David Albert Charles Armstrong-Jones.

Prince Edward ( Earl of Wessex)


Prince Edward is christened in the private chapel at Windsor Castle on 02 May 1964, by then Dean of Windsor, Robert Woods. He is named as Edward Antony Richard Louis.
His godparents were Prince Richard of Gloucester, the Duchess of Kent, Princess George William of Hanover, the Prince of Hesse and by Rhne and Earl of Snowdon.

Lady Sarah Chatto


Lady Sarah, daughter of Princess Margaret and the Earl of Snowdon was christened in the private chapel at Buckingham Palace in 1964. she is named as Sarah Frances Elizabeth Armstrong-Jones.
